The item framework allows us developers to easily add new items to the script in just a few lines of code, each item can have it's own functions associated with it and this is shown in the inventory screen allowing you to use, drop and more with each of your items. Many other systems will use this framework allowing easy user experience.
Each item is it's own entity and can be dropped, placed in a storage or taken from another player. They also have their own weights and certain items can be stacked with one another. An item entity is saved to the players inventory, which allows us to easily implement things such as weapon serialization, strength of drugs and phone data - when another players picks up one of these items, the data is still saved to the item so any data on your phone will be visible.
